Dear Parents,

I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a little about the G/T program.  This will be a great year for your child’s personal and academic growth. This year’s program will be focused in academics, hands on learning,  and higher order thinking for all grades.  The students will be focusing on how to analyze, evaluate, and create.  Most of our curriculum for K-5th grades will include the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP.)  This project based program is designed to help students meet the Texas requirements for gifted and talented students.  This program creates opportunities for students to explore in depth different areas of interest within a given project.  Grades K-5th will meet with me in my room each week. Students will have access to computers for research.   Grades 6-10 will be serviced with advanced curriculum by their teachers during the week.
